The study of mathematics develops analytical and critical thinking skills which employers find extremely valuable. Consequently, a solid degree in mathematics can lead to a variety of careers.
What is Mathematics - Thunder Bay Campus
In addition to our traditional Mathematics programs, you can choose a Mathematical Physics option or choose to combine a Mathematics degree with a degree in Education, or opt to complete a combined Mathematics program with Economics or Physics.
Careers in Mathematics - Thunder Bay Campus
With Canada facing a major shortage of qualified math teachers, graduates with a Mathematics and Education degree are in high demand, and will be for the forseeable future. Graduates also find employment in both government and the private sector in such fields as economics, finance, and research. Some go on to complete post-graduate work for a career in teaching and research at the university level.
