Lead & Volunteer

As a student at Lakehead University, there are many opportunities for you to get involved in the Lakehead community. Contribute to the campus community by volunteering your time to help out while building your leadership skills.

Here are a couple of ways you can get involved during your time here at Lakehead:

Leadership Experience and Development (LEAD)

The Thunder Bay Campus's LEAD program, run through the Student Success Centre (SSC), is designed for students who want to develop their leadership skills through hands-on experience. Take part in skills development workshops and play a pivotal role in activities that enhance university life for both future students and current students. Find out more about LEAD.

EXCEL (Excellence in Community and Environmental Leadership)
is a new leadership program at the Orillia campus that gives students an opportunity to gain important leadership skills, traits and qualities to be involved in fun and beneficial group activities. Upon successful completion of the EXCEL program students will receive a certificate.

Find out more about the EXCEL program. Will you simply live in the future...or be the one who defines it?

Orientation Volunteers
Be a part of Orientation by volunteering your time to help out with planning and organizing events as well as taking part in activities.
